Ibiza + Beaches

These pictures need little, if any explanation. We spent the first bank holiday of May in Ibiza, to enjoy everything that the island isn't famous for; some of the most beautiful beaches and clear water in the world and a quiet tucked away hotel.

We stayed at Can Skye, a stunning converted farmhouse slightly north of Santa Eulalia. I could not recommend this place enough, a haven surrounded by farm land with wild peacocks in the grounds. The three days were spent driving to as many beaches we could find, toasting in the hot sun and then shivering in the freezing sea.

Pictures in order- A few of Can Skype where we stayed, beaches Cala Nova, Cala Comte, Cala Vadella, Es Vedra and Cala Jondal

Understandably I had to literally be dragged back to grey London.

A Hawaiian Coconut

I have fallen in love with the pictures on the blog Hawaiian Coconut, they are taken by one of the owners of Wildfox Couture. The feel like the could be snap shots from the film drive or forgotten film processed a decade later. Calm nostaglia at its very best

Beyonce - Life is but a dream.

I have started a habit of screen dumping films when I think they are visual stunning. I like the idea that a film is a collection of stills which at any one point could be paused, captured, printed and framed. Beyonce's short film - Life is but a Dream is a strange choice in comparison to a Coppola or Anderson but I think it has a certain quality, taking the viewers on a visual journey.

A cast of thousands part II

When I visited Yunnan provence we went to an amazing show with 1000's of cast members choreographed by the same director as the Beijing Olympic ceremony.  Whilst visiting Yangshou we got the opportunity so go to another by the same director. Despite the rain the show was outstanding set on water with a back drop of incredible limestone peaks.
